The great part about using this service is that it costs Belizean Businesses Nothing to receive tips! The tourists and users wanting to send a tip, pay a small transaction fee to utilize this service which is removed from the amount and then sent to your account. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Now on top of that, Paylink Belize can be used to pay for Products and Services the same convenient way! When using the Paylink service, products and services are charged the SAME transaction fee (listed in the table above) AND also the Merchant Service fee that you would normally pay when processing a Credit Card. The current rate is 2.9% + .30 that is paid by the business. If you would like the customer to incur this cost on their transactions, we can have your QR code pass that fee on and inform the customer of that. Paylink Belize is about convenience to both the Belizean Businesses and the tourists using the service. A few examples are listed below:
- Purchase of Product for $100 –
- Customer would pay 100 (cost of product) + 7 (Transaction Fee) + 3.20 (Merchant Fee) = $110.20
- Purchase of Service for $250-
- Customer would pay 250 (cost of service) + 17.50 (Transaction Fee) + 7.55 (Merchant Fee) = $275.05
